ETIS is a community of telecom professionals in Europe, gathering more than 30 operators and 15 suppliers in the telco ecosystem in Europe. This webinar marks the start of 2025 activities ETIS will organise in the Post-Quantum Cryptography (PQC) field.
The webinar "Revisions and Extensions of the Dutch Post-Quantum Cryptography Migration Handbook" is organised in cooperation with TNO from the Netherlands, the authors of the PQC Migration Handbook.
Registrations are now open! We encourage you to register and upon approval of your registration, you will receive a link to insert into your calendar.
A short summary of the webinar is provided below and a more precise agenda will be shared closer to the webinar.
"In April 2023, the first edition of the Dutch Post-Quantum Cryptography (PQC) Migration Handbook was launched. This handbook introduced concrete steps and advice to help organisations with diagnosing, planning and executing their migration to PQC. Furthermore, the handbook introduced specific PQC personas and followed a layered approach. This way, each organisation could get advice specific to their persona and people in all layers of the organisation could find the advice that is specifically relevant to them.
In December 2024, a revised and extended, second edition of the PQC Migration Handbook was revealed (accessible here). This version updates the previous handbook with the newest insights and developments on PQC, such as the recent publication of the NIST standards. Additionally, more research has been done to present deeper advice on several essential steps in the PQC migration such as the creation of a cryptographic inventory, performing a quantum risk diagnosis, the implementation of cryptographic agility and a tool to help with the selection of the right post-quantum algorithms for different use-cases.
In this presentation, we will discuss the contents of the PQC migration handbook and look into the recent developments and lessons learned that led to the second edition of the PQC migration handbook."
