He joined The Boston Consulting Group (BCG) in 2003 and is part of BCG's Tech & Digital Advantage (TDA) and Technology, Media, Telecommunications (TMT) practices. Tom developed a deep expertise in IT strategy & architecture, Digital/IT transformations, IT sourcing, IT performance & optimization, and ICT markets/service delivery, by working globally with Telco operators, media companies, financial institutions, the Public sector, ICT services providers, and a broad range of international corporations. He is also part of BCG’s TA Sourcing Leadership Team.
Tom is chairman of the Network & IT Transformation Working Group (former Enterprise Architecture WG) of ETIS and responsible for the yearly TeBIT benchmarking of/with ETIS. Prior to joining BCG, Tom worked as a Research Assistant and Chief Engineer at RWTH Aachen University at the Chair of Technical Computer Science. He holds a PhD degree in electrical engineering and a diploma in electrical engineering from RWTH Aachen university.
